Where's the beef???? Right here.
It's at a Pennsylvania pub that serves the world's biggest burger weighing
in at NINE lip-smacking pounds! That's no whopper - you can actually get
this meat monster for $23.95, load with all the "fixins"...
Two whole tomatoes
A half-head of lettuce
12 slices of American cheese
A full cup of peppers
Two entire onions
Plus, a river a mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard.
Denny's Beer Barrel Pub is renown for its 6 lb. burgers. National and
local newspapers have reviewed the burger and its main appeal seems to
be...NO ONE HAS FINISHED IT!!
Has anyone been there, and if so how was your experience?

Its physically impossible, your stomach expands but I dont see any humans stomach being able to hold that much food.

I'd cut it into slices like a pizza and eat it for days.

If I can tackle the Vermonster, it's only a matter of time before I take that one on.
I'll PM anyone where they can leave donations for my family in my name.

I'd order it with three other friends and have a quarter each. Depending on which friends, we could probably eat it.
Alone? No way. If you paid me I'd maybe knock back 1/2 if I really tried, then spend the next week in the bathroom like poor Fletch, for those who know the 20x20 story.

Saw that on the food network. Insane! Yeah, possible could get 1/3 of the way into it....that's if I pulled away the bun, and it was good ground beef. But at only 24 bucks for 9 pounds of meat, I kinda bet it cheap ground beef.

there is an art to force feeding yourself (or so the TV has told me). though my protruding gut may not be conducive to this idea, i cannot eat more than maybe 2lbs of meat at one time, and thats if i am starving, and there's no other food matter involved... just ground meat. and thats a generous estimation. eating a 1lb burger will have me plugged up for at least a day.
however, there are folks that can force their alimentary canal to do things that others can;t possibly do. like that Japanese hot dog eating champ who ate more than 50 hot dogs in 12 minutes..... 50 frickin hot dogs in what most would see as "one sitting". by the time i got to the 10th hot dog (plain, no bun or anything), i would have already barfed at least twice (and given up as many times).
i bet someone could eat it (the burger in question) in a "one sitting" amount of time... like 30 minutes or so. 'specially if stripped to just the meat.
i bet the dump the next morning would world-class, too. time to call the HAZMAT team.

Yeah that's incredible huh? I'd def be wanting to hurl after getting near the dozen mark myself. Some TV show last week-ish, there was a story about this organization (supposedly "pro") of food competition eaters. The stuff they showed...certain people held records in special categories....I rememeber one guy that stood out...eating <some number I can't remember> sticks of butter in a set amount of time. Blech. What else did they show...oh yeah, this oyster eating championship. Now I love oysters, but wow...the amount that these guys ate in the competition. A whole table full of shucked raw ones...no hands used...just forward and "inhale" over each halfshell.
Then "Lookout ladies, I have a throbbing kickstand here!"

How does that thing even cook properly all the way thru...it would be like eating steak tartar most of the way in the middle.

quarter pounders probably shrink down to 3/4 the weight or less...maybe like 7lbs possible +/-?

this thread makes me hungry. I'd live to try eating it... no way I could finish that monster though.
I've eaten a dozen hotdogs before. Just had 6 big brats, sauerkraut(sp?), and potatos last weekend. Wife was amazed (and a little ashamed).

All that and no beetroot to give it some flavour??? Not a burger without beetroot. Make a burger and try it.
I think I would buy one and cut it up for distribution to the family. Reckon it'd feed our tribe no problem. No way would I get close to 1/4 way through one of those.
Croc.
