Everytime I try to go to my ISP's webpage my browser, after a minute or so, the "the page cannot be displayed" page appears. The only new equipment I have recently is a Linksys router. I have no problem going to any other webpages. Anybody have any ideas?

Goto start menu run type cmd then type ipconfig/flushdns hit enter and see if you could browse also what is the link to the site??

It came with the latest firmware release on disk.

Goto start menu run type cmd type ipconfig/all write down your dns server settings. Then goto 192.168.1.1 in internet explorer then click dhcp server and type the dns sever settings into dns 1 then dns 2. see if you could get on page if not read below..

This site has every thing i'm going to tell you anway espically the manual ips if you haven't done that done that yet do it so you could disable dhcp server on the router.

Thanks, your suggestion worked. Could you explain why adding the dns numbers allows me access to isp website.

Sure with that dhcp server in case you don't know what dhcp is the router asigns the ip to the computers wich is uses more cycle time on the router's cpu .

So instead the router sorta speak searching for a dns server you alread assigned the server so the router has one less step to do. I hoped that made sense.
