Best Buy is offering the 512Meggers at 125 per and a 6 dollar rebate. The question is, how does this RAM rate?

I am gleening that and stick with those magic Winbond chips will rate well. Only real difference is the quality of the PC board.

is it the ones with the heat spreader? personally i say screw best buy! They have this sign that says Cpu's this way. They don't even sell them. Not to mention how their illiterate employee seems to think he knows more then you do.
My friend had a kingston pc2700 dead not good to overclock with. Well his wasnt. If you can Corsair or for stability crucial.

Best Buy is a complete joke, they will take a guy that was a janitor for 8 years then throw him into retail as a computer salesman???The company makes it's money by playing on little people with no drive and makes them part of the Blue Shirt cult, I did the interview process, got hired went to the 2 day orientation, then got the hell out in a hurry, it's OK though they still have former GAP employees handling Home Theater systems....LOL

Kingston has been ok with me. DOn't count on overclocking it though.
Like was said Corsair/Crucial.
...and yes Best Buy's computer service & sales leaves alot to be desired.

ya,it's my kids box,I did'nt want to get crazy with the oc,I just wanted to bump it a little,it's a xp1700 tbred and I also changed the multiplier a little, but like I said,I wanted stability and I did'nt want to worry too much about heat,it runs good at a mild 1651.
cool cool, i still have no clue why one of my sticks died.. i swear i didn't abuse it. shrug.
