Please tell me what you guys think or what should be diffrent. I am in no hurry for ordering this. I am the h20 n00b.

Looks great man. The Danner mag 3 pumps are better and cheaper than the Eheims. You can get that local too at Petsmart or Home Depot.

Evrything looks good. Don't bother with the Danner Mag3 pump. That's a noisey pos. No matter what you try to do to dampen the noise, it will still rattle.

Stick with the Eheim. I have the 1250. I'll admit it's hum is noticable, but with a piece of foam rubber or a sponge on the bottom where it mounts, it will stop the noise. I barely hear mine after I did that.

Try that with the Danner junk

The hydor is nice, just a little noisey also. Nuttin a piece of a mouse pad or sponge rubber won't muffle

Pretty good pump for the price too.

If it's price, go with the hydor, if not, then spend a few xtra bux and go with the Eheim, but for pete's sake don't get the danner.

Yeah, they'll say the danner is good, but what they forget to mention is the rattle it makes. Prolly cuz they have the 120mm fans blowing at full speed so they don't hear it

Defeats the purpose of having an H20 setup eh?

Don't know about the L30, but the Hydor L40 is noisier than the Eheim 1250. The Hydor has some rattle and there have been threads on other sites that say some of the L30's have impeller balance problems that the superglue mod won't fix. Also, there is a casting mark inside the impeller housing on some of them that the impeller can hit if there is too much runout on the impeller shaft.

My Eheim was smooth and quiet out of the box with no mods. Just needed a good air bleed and some doubled-up open-cell foam filter material (got a 12"x12"x1/8" piece at Wal-mart for a couple bucks) under it and it's as close to silent as I've found.

This is a case of you get what you pay for, and with a couple hundred bucks of hardware and my sanity on the line, I ain't cutting corners there anymore. I've got the Via Aqua1300, Hydor L40, Swiftech MCP300 and the Eheim 1250 and the Eheim is definitely the quietest, dryest and most reliable of the lot. Just my .02.

I have a new DD maze4 for AMD with the clamp hold down I am going to sell if you want it, I also should have a eheim 1250. All parts have been used( less than 2 months old) but are 100% operational.

I also have a DD GF4 waterblock, slighty modified to clear monster BGA heatsinks and the short stock ones on the 5800 Ultra.

I am also selling a antec 1240 modded case with a hayden radiator at the top with 2 136CFM YS-Techs, a eheim 1048 pump and a DD maze2 and DD chipset WB. Also has a BayRes.

The only component you may want to change is the cpu block. Take a close look at the Dtek Whitewater. They just started shipping and it will easily outperform the Maze 4. Everthing else looks great.

I'm a bit broke from the new rig. It'll take a month to recover. Besides my wife saw how much I spent ( dam online banking:mad It would be mighty hard to try and hide the H20, since she's on to me. I gotta be on the DL for a while.

I personally prefer pump out->rad->CPU->Pump in so the blocks get the coolest water possible.

However, if you're using a CPU block that requires slightly higher pressures, i.e. whitewater, I believe it works better the opposite way.

I doubt it's be more than a degree or two difference either way.
