Met someone who works on Ebay

In my training class last week.

She told me she works practically 16 hours a day, becuase it is so busy, did you know that ebay makes $684 a second everyday.


Talk about some serious cash there..LOL



She also told me about some of the craziest ebay auctions that they had to take off and what ppl sell very funny

ebay will be bought out by either Ted Turner or Bill Gates. Watch and see.

THAT IS 59,097,600 IN A 24HR PERIOD, THAT IS HARD TO BELIEVE. MAYBE GROSS PRICE BUT EBAY IS NOT GETTING ALL THAT AS PROFIT.

Gross for 1st quarter of 2003 ... $476,492,000 (That is 476 MILLION) :eek:

Net for 1st quarter of 2003 ... $104,191,000 (That is 104 MILLION) :eek:

eBay Inc. has developed a Web-based community in which buyers and sellers are brought together in an auction format to buy and sell items such as antiques, coins, collectibles, computers, memorabilia, stamps and toys. For the three months ended 3/31/03, revenues increased 94% to $476.5 million. Net income totaled $104.2 million, up from $47.6 million. Results reflect increased online transaction activity, the PayPal acquisition and improved operating margins.

The person could have been lieing for all I know she said that number is the msgic one that all the sales and head mgmt love to throw out there when talking and trying to get motivation



Truthfully I dont think I would want her job, dont know how much she gets paid, but she has so little free time it not funny, if she not at work then she is vpn into work from home or wherever

I don't see them making 60 million dollars a day. But it is feasible that is 21,900,000,000 a year in revenue. Then with their overhead and all I imagine they pull in about 2-3 billion in profit.
