I assume you are talking about the FairPlay scoreboards? I think that is one the east side of Des Moines. I work pretty near there. I beleive the difference is that in a republic, all the citizens vote on all the issues, and participate fully in the law-making process. In a democracy, we choose people who reperesent us who then participate in the law-making process.
