Mehmet,
Our military people do not earn a great deal of money. Most have to supplement their income. It would be easier to have a different job..... I would say that the majority of the US soldiers do it for love of country. In many foreign lands, being in the military allows you power within your own country, often to oppress your own citizenry.

Is it hate when i oppose a war? oppose a woman who has done nothing, but recieves the attention that couldve best went to dying innocent children and women and even men in iraq right now? Shown the US whats really happening right now? Make them slap themselves for a second, and see that what they are supporting is wrong?
ill see ya next year when the US implants the nuclear weapons in iraq.

Kudos to those who kept their cool. MadDoc....I'm impressed with your patience especially. Not many here, would have a clue as to what your talking about or what you experience. No soldier should have to endure that of his countrymen..

IMO no its not hate when you oppose a war or oppose a woman. My problem with your first remark was that just because you oppose something doesnt mean it has to be wished to hell.
You speak somewhat of tolerance for your opposing view, yet you wish someone to hell because they do something that you didn't agree with. That is hypocritical at the very least.

I dont understand the hostility towards jessica at all.
It amazing how one can attack her while at the same time not attack Saddam and his sons for the torture and murder they have done
I was reading up today in the paper about Uday, man that guy was one sick bastard,
Btw, I think Jessica is very cute looking

The hostility presented in this thread reminds me of the same hostility the veterens of the vietnam war received when they came home.... History repeats itself again and again.

that people are envious of all the attention jessica is getting
i dont know.
truthfully if people are that bothered by it then turn off the news.

how is she a hero guys? How? She got herself in a sticky situation, people came and saved her, BOOM, shes a war hero. woopdefreakindoo. My butt cheeks would make better POW's. Its just the media feeding you the propaganda you want to hear. "oh jessica lynch was saved today from those mean old muslim men who rape little kids."
I cant believe shes actually accepting all this fame, what did she do? really, she was a POW, ok, so what? answer that question and ill continue with my ranting that nobody really cares about, and the majority of people here will probably go uh whatever and go back to drinking beer.
when she was attacked she took cover and fought off the enemy as they were comming towards her she wasnt going to surrender she was going to fight until she was dead. she went on fighting even though she was injured and ended up killing lots of enemy. Then when she was captured she was rescued. I think to many people are focusing on the rescue when what she really should be congratulated on is her fighting.
I think whether she was a male or is a female, doesnt matter. Either way i feel she would be getting the same rightly deserved 'heroic' treatment.

Cute girl reminds me a lot of my cousin.
Just let's not forget about the guy that risked his and his family's life to let the military know where she was, and the guys that pulled her ass out of there.
There are many heros in this story. She fought and survived, but she didn't do it alone. Also many of her friends died, let's not forget the fallen heros too.

I was just kidding babe, she's pretty cute and feminine.....she looks cute in them jeans!!
This thread's so full of BS it's pathetic....wishing her death because she was captured, rescued and the media glorified her. People act as if she asked for all this. Kids.......most talk without knowing and try and act older than they really are.....pathetic.

ok first of all, aparently you dont have the 'balls' to do something like join the military, and its real easy to sit in ur cushy chair on the computer all day. When u sign ur name on that contract to put ur country above your own needs then you have the right to talk. until then, your really just talking outta ur ass, its real easy to talk about something u know nothing about.
As for the money, considering shes a PFC shes most likely getting much under what she would be making working full time at mcdonalds. Deffinently not enough to be risking your life over.
Imagine your sister, cousin, niece, friend or whatever, and maybe her heroics will be a little bit more appreciated by you. what a lot of people tend to forget is that she is a normal girl. Shes like 18 or so, when you were just out of highschool i think many of you guys wouldnt have the bravery to even be put into a battle situation not to mention actually fighting and being captured.
Its real easy to talk about something you dont really know about. i dont talk about how easy it is to be a farmer, because i dont really know. So to hear many of you guys who have never left the comfort zone of your home town talk about why a soldier injured and captured in battle shouldnt be given hero status is like me talking about the zones of the atmostphere.

ah, first of all YOU dont talk about something you know nothing about. I am going to join the military, not the american one of course, the turkish one, once i get out of college i go straight over there to serve.
You really are something else, comfort zone? There is no comfort zone in most countries, get that in your head, not everywheres like the US, like palestine for example, go outside, get shot. I think the suicide bombers should freaking get hero status, their the ones fighting for their country.
prey, what the hells your problem, are you some kinda pedophile? stalking me and seeing how big my bawls are? shame on you.
