Britney has asked me inform the forum that she escaped the incident unscathed and is doing well. She appreciates all the concern voiced at sg and wishes even her detractors well. She envisions becoming a contributing member once she, Justin, and her career settle down.

I'm sorry here, but I for one can not stand BS and my 2 daughters try to dress and act like her, and I will NOT go for that. I am not saying what they did was right, yes, it was wrong and, yes, it was mean, I could not see it happen to a better person :D

You said that right! I fight my girls all the time over the BS hooch clothes! I don't buy them and they get thrown out with the trash if they try borrowing clothes from friends... :)

So Britney has stirred young girls to oppose those who try to control their sexuality..... ? To maybe even make decisions on their own (Gasp!) that are not approved by the puritan morality police?

Hmmmmm.

I'm liking Ms. Spears more everyday.

Don't know what to say about Jebus... If I'm not in his camp, then I guess it's a blessing.

I am not at all opposed to my 14 and 12 year old daughters to find out about themselves, but do they really have to dress like a tramp to find out? No, I dont think so..

Well Britney is what? 20? I think she can dress how she wants. I know she's a role model and all, but it seems as of late that her music is directed towards the older crowd. If a youngin wants to dress like her, its her parents place to let her know whats up. Not for Britney to stop dressing sexy.

I have no problem with the way she dresses, as you have said, she is 20, she can do what she wants, I could care less, all I am saying that my daughters will NOT dress like her.

I refuse to tell my kids "No, you can't wear that" , the more you stop them exploring themselves the more they explore.

You go Girl!

You dress like a hooch and you will get treated like a hooch. The attention that clothing like that brings is better then Viagra...

well concidering that I am the one that buys their clothes, they really don't have much of a choice. I pretty much let them get what they want, from the $50 of jeans (cuz everyone wears them) to the what seems like shoes that raise them up 6 inches taller *lol* but when it comes to dressing like that, I'm sorry, but I would rather not have to worry about all the weirdos in the world seeing them as something they are not and then my daughters getting hurt in the process *shrugs* just my opinion here

There's no way I would let my daughters dress like a slut. I pretty much go about buying their clothes the same way but I tend to let them step over the line, just bairly, but over just enough in hopes that they wont contract slut fever....lol

As a boy I was restricted so much that I rebelled and went WAY over the line in every way. They never knew the things I did and let me tell ya they were awful. I just hope that by giving them some freedom they will respect , as opposed to reject my requests.

It's a long road though and maybe when they are 13 -14 I'll be posting "hell no I don't let them dress like BS" but only time will tell and I pray that their teenage years will be easy on me.....lol

EvilAngel *lol* the last few years, I have been hoping, praying that it gets easier, but....well..not happening! *lol* and from what I have been told, it going to get alot worse before it gets better *lol*

*lol* my 12 year old, my daughter remember, likes the games too, but only if she can shoot the bad guys, she wants to work with the CIA so she can do that for real *lol* or to be a laywer, just so she can argue with people, which she already does quite well with her sister :rotfl:
