OK guess I've never done one of these..here's how boring my desktop is.
Battlefield 42, Vietnam, and Warsow. A few of the common VPN connections I use on the right, RDC and UVNC.

here. I'm running a seperate program called SysMetrix on the bottom left. It's fully customizable to suite an individuals needs. Butt loads of skins as well.
