I fail to see any political relevance in topping ones-self at that location.
Surely, the front gates of The White House or the steps of Congress would have had more "political" significance.
Anyhow, it's done now and speculation is fruitless.

I have no sympathy for this guy or his family...it is one thing to commit suicide...but another to do it at a sacred site where thousands die who were full of life and had no choice..while others ran into the building to sacrifice their lives for others.

I do have sympathy for his family because they have to live with the memory of what this guy did and where he did it.
There wouldn't be too many people who told their spouse/family they were going to commit suicide then do it.

No offence Roody, because I don't really believe that you think this way, but that right there is the crux of the Christian Right. Preaching loudly in the aisles at church, yellimg "Amen" at the top of your lungs, and then giving someone the finger who cuts you off as you pull out of the Church parking-lot.

maybe he lost a dear friend in the tragedy of 9/11 and recent events in his life proved too much to bear, having no where else to go, he went to where his best friend was last seen and chose to end his own life there, to be near someone dear to him.
We'll tragically never know, but hey, at least we can just assume the worst and condemn him

Fair enough GH.
My thoughts are that his family are victims as well. They have to suffer the pain of losing a loved one through a senseless act they had nothing to do with, apart from being related to him.
We are seeing it here with the family of a man called Ivan Milat. He was convicted a couple of years ago for the serial killing a number of backpackers in New South Wales.
His family, all of whom had absolutely nothing to do with the murders apart from having the same surname as the killer, are being harrassed on a daily basis for this man's crimes. Should this happen? I think not. Maybe it's just human nature eh?

That happens a lot Croc. Some people have even resorted to changing their last names to escape negative publicity. In the case of ANY suicide all of their loved ones do suffer a lot. Its a shame. In my opinion, enough people have died for this president as it is. 4000 more today...I hope they are all safe in Fallujeah today.
