the best i could do is to play guitar for you all seeing as how thats the only audio i can put in my computer. even then though i dont know where to host sound files.

Great, I'm having trouble recording too.

I have a SB Live! value. I am using the creative recorder that came with it. under select recording device, there's all sorts of options, Line-In, MIDI, Microphone, Auxrillary, etc, ect. I've used the Line-In, Microphone, and the Aux. and I have a pair of headphones to use as the recording device. I've plugged in hte headphones to all of the jacks on my SB Live, but nothing gets recorded......any ideas?

yea, IT WAS muted, the line in was muted....so I un-muted it, and it still doesn't work.
