Help, my MS Word Has Gone CRAZY!!!!!!!

Help, my MS Word Has Gone CRAZY!!!!!!!

Ok, i'm typing out a report, and all of a sudden, these black vertical things appear next to words when the sentence finishes or begins.....

MS Word is calling this "formatting"

WTF?!? its screwin me up, and I have to get this report done by tommorow....

how do I put it back to "normal" settings, and remove these things?!?

plz help! thx.

Im not sure if this is what you are talking about but I think if you click this Button on the toolbar. It Will Fix Your Problem

No problem I'm Gald it worked. I Think that those symbols only show up on the screen and that they would not be there when you print but I'm not sure about that.

That's funny, not for you Blitz, but I remember doing the same thing in class (small free course on Office) and had to get the teacher to fix it. Had no idea what it was.

Found out it is for checking the doc for carriage returns and spaces. Possibly other things as well. We didn't go too deep into Word.

Good to see Tryn is on the ball, from your post I thought it was a background format you were talking about.

To prevent further incidents with the "show all" button (as it is called), it can be removed from the toolbar by placing the cursor over the offending button, pressing ALT and dragging it away.
