I love the geek squad! I have gotten so much work because they don't know what the hell they are doing.
The most recent they checked out a computer for 70 bucks and told the customer they had a bad hard drive and it would be better to buy a new computer...from Best Buy of course! Well after I had it for about 15 minutes it was fixed and I only charged them 50 bucks. Told them to go to the dork squad and demand there money back. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Best of all they left their diagnostic disk inside which I kept of course.

Gotta Love the Gick squad :thumb:

Yeah, a couple years ago they screwed up my new laptop I was getting. They were not supposed to have it,because I declined to pay to have the Geek Squad check it. But they thought it was cool because it was ordered from another store and they had not sold one. So they took it and screwed it up. Then when I came to get it they told me it had hardware issues and they would have to order me a new one. I took it home, and fixed the SOFTWARE issues, and have used it since.

Thanks idiot squad

I think it's a standard phrase with those people. They tell everyone that their hard drives are bad and need new computers. Wonder what their commission is?

Obviously it's just another "sales" dept at BB. Face it, if your only and/or last resort is to take your computer to BB for repair they are pretty secure in assuming you don't know what you are doing. Actually I'm quite surprised when I see the amount of people carrying in their laptops or towers into the store. In this day and age there's probably at least 10 people on the average block that could fix it for you.

The fascinating thing about it is, Norm had a better little diagnostics program he made at one time. It's amazing how many people who own computers, lack common sense. Most things can be fixed by them if they just look around.
