The next big anticipated MMO?

Post by sito »

Hi, after playing Lineage II until I was blue in the face (years), I'm wondering what you gamers take is on the next big MMO. I've heard word of Warhammer and Conan.

Just wondering if there are any beta testers etc out there with an opinion on the next big MMO worth looking at.

Any links etc appreciated. :)

eew COD4...frickin every1 plays that game and its so lame.
id say that if warhammer made a good, solid mmo, WoW would lose so much of its user demographic its crazy. blizzard pays little to no attention to the consumer and is entirely interested in making money, which makes for good business but little to no customer satisfaction. a large number of us wow players are fed up and are waiting for something like warhammer or conan to come out.
i know that if warhammers good im certainly picking that up cuz im tired of being treated as just another 15 dollars a month.

Once I get an uncorrupt demo working, I just might.

I'll just wait for Warhammer. Doesn't appear to be much out there atm.

There will never be another Big MMO so long as WoW is still going.. Blizzard has to set a end to it sometime to allow other possibilities.

I'm waiting for a hacker to take the entire WoW network down and see how many people you have on the news that day jumping off buildings.

WoW is not that last great MMO. Vanguard seems to be doing well, and I'm sure theres plenty others.

Until WoW is taken down all others will be in nothing but a shadow of the wonderful world of addiction.

Shadows have become pretty profitable then.

I remember when I was playing UO and Shadowbane ...it's really waste of time, you are sitting in front of the bank and observing for hours, or camping/gaining xp, or PKing ....
If you dont have life go for it, I was playing for 2 years and all I was thinking about is the damn MMORPG, glad I found something else to do.It's so addictive :)

best out there? because your trying to make some lame statement?

Is "the best" in connection with opinion? I think so. For example, when I played Lineage II I've heard people come from WoW and say it's for carebears
and not nearly as fun gameplay wise, but I'm sure there are people that think the opposite.

Also what you just said here is lame to me, in my OPINION. ;)

MMORPGs are a weird genre for me. I'll play them, get addicted for a few months, and once I'm away from it for a day or two I stop playing completely. Since this has happened a few times I'm kind of apprehensive to dish out money monthly if I'm not going to be using it. I have a few characters on a free WoW server, but I havent played in about a month.

As far as future MMOs go, I'm thinking Huxley might be sweet. I've always liked the idea of an MMOFPS/RPG, it just hasn't been done right yet. Hopefully Huxley will be the one. It might also be the first console MMO that's worth a sh**.

I would probably say that Age of Conan will be the next big MMORPG.

Well Huxley is another big MMO but it's not really much of an RPG, it's really more FPS. It's really almost a hybrid, fps with rpg elements. MMO FPS/RPG. You said MMO though so I guess it still qualifies. As for info, well just look all over the place and use google translator or some other thing to translate all the Korean sites since the English sites have next to none in new info. It's a game I've been waiting on for a while. http://huxley-evolved.com/

Edit: forgot to mention there's another MMO I've been waiting on for a bit, it's called APB.

Edit 2: forgot to say that both of these games seem to be more team based and they're both made by Webzen. Well are currently being made.

Lineage II imo was the best for pvp. It just got too ridiculous with the bots and the items people had due to that.

I still wait and hope for the next big one. There's probably 150+ waiting to do the same from LII in the cluster I know.

I liked LII's not so cartoony graphics as well.
The more I drink, the less I care.
