Corpse Bride... Ok for 4 yr Old?

Post by Zilog B »

Wanted to take daughter to see a $2 movie tonight, this is playing. We love Nightmare Before Christmas, is this about that level or is it more of an adult movie?

Thoughts?

Never saw it myself, but from the commercials it seemed borderline to me. I think it depends on the 4 year old.

i've never seen a nightmare before christmas but corpse bride was good. not sure how a 4 year old would take it. it's a dark movie but with humor so it's not really scary. i would say it's probably ok if she's seen a nightmare before christmas because even though i didn't see it, that looked pretty scary to me.

My dad took me and my brother to Jaws when it came out. I was three years old. He had to take my brother out because he was crying, but he left me in there to watch the rest of it.

Not saying that it was a good idea though. I am not afraid of sharks at all, but that is beside the point

I have never seen Corpse Bride, but it does seem a little dark for a four year old, but if it is your kid, I doubt that is what is going to be the traumitizing factor :p

:rotfl: You might have a point. I was just wondering if it was scarier than Nightmare Before Christmas, she doesn't have a problem with that movie.

Considering how many movies I watch I really should see Nightmare Before Christmas.

Is it a decent movie for an adult?

It wasn't any scarrier, IMO. Not as good as Nightmare though.

Well I went through the listings with her, and she ended up picking Chicken Little instead. It was her night out though, so it's only fair. Chicken little was pretty mediocre. But we still had fun.

De Plano.

Nightmare Before Christmas is an excellent movie. It's more like a claymation musical, with a very twisted and dark sense of humor. Very original. I love it.
