Let's start a fundraiser and do something nice for someone

****The Contest has been extended one day. Voting will commence at 11pm EST on Christmas Day****

Unofficial SG Christmas Tree/Holiday Decorating contest!
OK....this is a non-denominational contest. It is simply based on your creative abilities to come up with something that is in the holiday spirit.....could be a Christmas Tree, a Menorah, a wreath, your outside lights, etc., you get the picture! Oh....and it is a picture that we are looking for.

The picture must be original and no photochops. (same rules apply from past contests)

The deadline to submit your photo will be 11:00pm on Christmas Eve. That is 24 December 2002 for you military types! lol

The winner will be announced on Christmas Day.

    So what is the prize???

This is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!

The first prize of this collection is a CHOCOLATE NOTEBOOK!!!!

Flip the top of this "Computer" then remove the "Keyboard" to access The Chocolate Motherboard , a simulated circuit featuring
8 Truffle-Filled Belgian Chocolate "RAM" (Really Appetizing Morsel Chips) and 1 Solid Belgian "CPU" (Chocolate Perfection Unit) chip.

EACH CHOCOLATE NOTEBOOK INCLUDES THIS BONUS:
A full color "User's Manual featuring instructions for getting the most out of your Chocolate Notebook.

I really need to thank Al Abrahams for hooking me up with this prize. They are completely sold out. Al is the owner of this company and he personally helped me get one of these for you. He also tells me that this is the last of the freshest batch that was just made a few days ago from one of their new product manufacturers and he says that we should be pleasantly surprised at the quality. (even better than their previous versions)

Next prize is the FOREVER FLASHLIGHT!

The Forever Flashlight uses no batteries or bulbs. Instead it uses Faraday's Principle of Induction and a bright LED to produce light without batteries. The light is shaken for about 30 seconds to recharge a capacitor and it will then provide about 5 minutes of light. As the light is shaken, a magnet passes through a metal coil generating electricity. During prolonged use it can be shaken for 10-15 seconds every 2 or 3 minutes.
The light requires no maintenance so it can be left in your home or car for a longtime but will still be ready to produce light. The bright LED will last for thousands of hours and does not burn-out like a typical lightbulb - it should never need replacement.

Next prize is the super duper uber cool R/C MINI ROVER!!!

Inspired by NASA's planetary exploration program, this miniature 'caterpillar drive' ROVer (Remote Operated Vehicle), belongs officially in the 'way too cool' category.
These mini remote controlled desktop rovers with tank treads are only 4 inches long and ready to explore the "Alien Landscapes" around your home or office. The pocket sized radio control transmitter and Desktop Rover Micro-Vehicle are great for the cubefarm, at a picnic, or even in the server room.
Independent control of the rubber tracks enables the rover to spin in place and precisely maneuver in ways that wheeled vehicles cannot. An obstacle course created from everyday items will provide endless challenge - all at a moments notice. With plenty of torque, the rover can push and climb over objects like a mechanical billygoat. Its Radio Controlled Fun that can fit in your pocket! And it won't take over your closet space - The storage case fits on your bookshelf!

HAHAHA!!!!! This is awesome!!!! AWESOME STUFF!!!!!

I'm looking for one more totally geeked out prize that just seems to elude me at every stop but there is one more prize and there could be more if you donate more money.

Again...if you get this up to $200...I will donate $25 on behalf of SG to the American Red Cross.

So let's make this a contest to remember!!!!

    MERRY CHRISTMAS & GOOD LUCK!!!!!!

I'll handle the money matters for this one.

I'm throwing in $50 to get us started out right. Let's get this thing up there and really do it right!

And if you guys get it over $200...I'll throw in another $25 donation for the American Red Cross on behalf of SG.

My PayPal email can be found -here-

See ya on the 24th....Christmas Eve!!!!!

The pot is now up to $160

Decorated Cochise hall with some friends-- 4500 lights.

...and since that's a photo from a campus newspaper, and doesn't have my name in it-- my proof is my letter to the editor telling them it's not that expensive to run the lights.
