    Question Game servers and DNS

I formatted my game PC and installed Win2K advanced server.
Is there any benefit to installing DNS locally on the server?
Would it help make the connection more stable for people logging on through the web?
I'm trying to keep the PC as lean as possible on services, and right now it's running really well.

I just haven't been able to finish it because of work, but that's a whole 'nother thread.

DNS will not help your gamers, just bog down your system with another service. It's only for name resolution...for web browsing....type in and it's the DNS servers job to resolve it to which is what your browser actually goes after.

Gamers will connect to your server via an IP DNS involved there.
