    Hmm...very odd, I just recounted the contacts on it (18 each side), and snagged an HP cable I had laying aroud...same count, I've never seen that IEEE used in a video application like that.

    Looking at the monitor...I'm going to guess it could be a monochrome display used in POS setups (Point of Sale)...with that side mount and all....it's a unique setup.
