yes it's possible, but i aint gonna do it! I'll settle with an active cooling kit. My ram already has heatspreaders and my case temps are a chilly 25c!![]()

Holy crap LT, thats amazing!!!!! The most i can seem to push my 1600's FSB is up to like 149 before things get funky. Perhaps you could give a noob some advice. I'm running an XP1600/Volcano 7+ on an Abit KR7A-RAID, Radeon 8500 (I know what you're thinking....), 512MB of crucial DDR PC2100 + 256MB of soem 'other' DDR 2100, a sopund blaster SBLIVE! 5.1 (generic) and a couple of maxtor 40GBers...
thanks for any advice youd be willing to offer!![]()

I have to wonder how fast you'd go if you pulled the generic ram out. Crucial might allow a little more, but until you get at least pc3000 you're not going to speeds liek that.

Hey rhuurrr, that pc2100 is gonna hold ya back bro. You need something like pc2700, 3000 or 3200 of quality ram in order to get the speed ya want. Also unlock the cpu.
Hey Fish, i have a long way to go huh?, we'll just see about that!![]()
so PC2700 or 3200 will work okay with the KT266A chipset? for some reason I thought the 333 chipstes used the 2700 and the 400's used the 3200.
