ever had this problem?
I am
I just installed XP Pro (legal version) onto my test pc, nice clean install, but i went to windows updates and nothing shows up, it says it didn't find any updates! and i know that's not true....
so i manually installed SP1 to see if that would help, nadda, still doesn't fine any updates!
weird
anyone ever seen this or know whats up?
the only think i can think of is maybe is maybe that i have the same legal version insatlled on my main machine right now...
and so windows update has its CD key in its database and now won't let my other computer acces it?
butu that doesn't make sense cause its the same CD key
so i dunno

If your browser can't read unicode, you should probably switch!
I really don't think that's the case. If you have ever run a RIS server or set up an unattended install you will see for the most part in the the answer file contains the product key. These tools are made by microsoft for IT pro's to cut cost for mass installs of there product namely 2k and xp. I would think that this is more of active x problem.
Hey brent do yourself a favor and slipstream the service pack into the xp cd. Saves a lot of time having to download it seperatly or install it manually when you install. If you don't use ezcd then there is a like for nero on the page as well.
