    Replacing PSU Fan

My PSU fan is too loud *Sounds like a dragon orb 3 on high* and I was wondering how to replace it. Can I just remove the wires from the old fan and electrical tape a new one on? My house only have a industrial solder tourch so thats out of the question.

you can do that, yes. PSU fans tend to be the standard 80mm 12vDC fan. just twisting and PVC taping the connection is not the best route, it is possible.

what i would suggest is shrink tubing instead of electrician's tape. it will ensure a better contact between the unsoldered wires.

Hey, just twist and tape or use tiny wirenuts. It's only a fan and it's inside a cage so it won't be physically disturbed. Electrically, it's all the same.

Oops, just saw this. If you have a bead, you don't have a soldered joint. Reheat it and touch your solder wire to it so the flux flows. The solder will follow the flux and it should flow together. You touch the iron to the wire, not the solder.
