    From ther site

    Normal drive sounds include:

    Whining noise during drive spin-up

    Occasional clicks during data access

Hard clicks during a head park operation (shutdown or sleep mode)

    So i guess its normal

I can't remember what the 5 inchers were, before that the disks were 8 inchers! I remember the local pharmacist had a comp with 8" drives, they looked like records or sumthin.
