    n00b question

    What does UDMA mean? i have a UDMA66 HDD....is that slower than ATA?

    Ultra Direct Memory Access. ATA (advanced technology attachment) is the same as IDE, it's just the type of drive it is.

    it's not the same as IDE, it's the same as EIDE

    UDMA/ATA/EIDE = teh same basically

    it's a speed measure for all intents and purposes

    your hard drive bursts at 66MB/sec
