    p3 q

i am taking my p3 cpu out of a gateway motherboard and putitng it into another p3 motherboard. my friend said it would not work because it runs at a different voltage.

it is a p3 800EB processor and the voltage on the chip says 1.65v

can i still use it on my other motherboard or is it only configured with the gateway motherboard?

YOS is right, The CPU is not propretery to gateway. You can use the CPU, in any board that supports the type of CPU.
