    Secondary IDE won't work!

I have a new MSI K7T Turbo and the secondary IDE will not work. I have tried 2 hard drives and a CDROM on it to no avail. I didn't see anything in the BIOS that enables it either. I don't see why I would need a BIOS update, but I'll try that later. I hope it's not dead out of the box. I am building a friend a PC around it. He had to have an older SDRAM board because he didn't want to waste his 512MB of PC133.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks

Try a different ribbon cable? Running through the BIOS with auto-detect? Try a different molex (power).

Reset the BIOS to defaults, clear the CMOS, try again.

I've tried 2 different cables, 2 different HDs, a CDROM, setting the BIOS defaults, Auto detect. I haven't tried clearing the CMOS yet. I'll try that later. Thanks.
