Do you take credit cards?
I got these really cheap and I am willing to pass the great deal onto those interested. The kit includes the following:
1 grain of sand
1 glass bowl
Just fill the bowl with water, add the grain of sand and in no more than 3 trillion years you will be guaranteed to have a living, adaptive organism. (please don't ask where the bowl and sand came from, we can't explain origin yet)
But Wait! that's not all. I am also willing to throw in a Boeing 747 kit. The kit includes instructions on how to create a tornado. Once this is mastered, just release it on the nearest junkyard and within 12,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 tries, a fully assembled and functional 747 will be the result.
Just $9.99 gets you both kits.
Well at least the odds of these 2 offers are better than the odds of Evolution

I don't want to sound arrogant or offensive, but would you know the "Truth" if you saw it? Why would a mortal even believe that he may understand or comprehend the origin of life? More and more scientists are agreeing that a Creator makes more "Scientific sense" than the theory of evolution as Darwin presented. The odds are too long on "chance". If the origin of life cannot be explained in the first place, then this blows a hole in the evolution theory. To believe in a Creator makes sense to me. It is only admitting that there is a higher power that we are not equipped to understand yet.
God already walked the earth once. Healed people, raised them from the dead, performed miracles, died himself and rose again. STILL, most denied him and they murdered him. Why would a majority believe him now?
Existence is not a scientific discovery with infallable proof or truth, it's a gift.
Darn it! I told myself I'd never get into these discussions again. I just noticed that it's usually the same people who are passionate about the subject. Just proves that there are no Athiests. It's impossible because of who we are. A person who is nagged by the subject is seeking, searching for something just like all of us.

Bigmo66, I say the same thing back to you. There is hard evidence that evolution does happen, and you refuse to believe it.
I certainly do believe in evolution! It's all around us in the form of adaptation and survival. I just don't believe in evolution as all life from absolute nothing or life as we know it from chance.Bigmo66, I say the same thing back to you. This thread itself is evolution. I knew it would evolve to a point where Norm posted![]()
What is the name of that game where you start off with one phrase and whisper it to the person next to you, sending around the room and then seeing how big of a change there was by the time you got to the last person? Try that for 2002 years.
I told myself the same thing Mo and here I am replying to someone else who did not want to get into an unanswerable question.

Well this topic was brought up a while back and some friends and I discussed it a bit. I know what I personally believe in - God, but even if you doubt Him there are too many unexplained things that us mere mortals cannot comprehend or explain. Science is based on theories not facts, the theory of science is if it's not this then it must be that. Well that's not quite good enough for me. Did you see recently that there was a new skull found in Africa? And now they believe that the human race has been around longer than previously thought, well I guess that blows all the other scientific "theories" of the human race time line out of the water? What book has stayed the same since it was written? The Bible. It isn't based on "theories" but facts, the Bible doesn't change every time there is a new discovery, it stays the same just like any factual history book. I do believe that animals evolve or adapt to their surroundings, but to have everything as we know it just evolve from "the right conditions" is absolutely ridiculous. Also remember that the earth was created in 7 days, but there is no measurement of time in the begining of the Bible, the calendar as we know it was invented by the Romans much later, so who knows how many millions of minutes, days, weeks, months or years or whatever those seven "days" actually were.![]()

The Bible was idealized I don't know how many years BC.
But it was written down on 300 BC.. and I know there was a 2,000+ year span where it was word of mouth.
Tell me again that it's unchanged?
How do you exactly know the Bible is fact... just cause it was written? No one can prove the stories in the bible are fact. You believe they are because you have faith in God. I don't because I have seen no proof or evidence that they are. This battle will go on till the end be it heaven or eternal rest in a casket in the ground. Neither of us or anyone knows for sure which it will be.Originally posted by mnosteele52

She's presenting like a mandrill!
For that matter any other history book is inaccurate also. My point being - it doesn't change everytime scientists find something new.![]()
How can you believe any history book is accurate, were you there or do you just believe it because someone wrote it?![]()
