Question What land animal scares you the most?

I was watching O'Shea Big Adventure and he is in India checking out India & Burmese pythons, but seems to be afraid of the Sloth Bear as they are making him a cage to protect him as he tries to locate the snakes.

WUSSY big time, if you ask me...

OShea is probably my least fav as he has a very high percentage rate of failure at what he is trying to find. He follows more wild goose chases than the MadDoc and probably has more sexual relations with animals than MadDoc as well. (I know that you will find that hard to believe... )

Well, let's her your nightmare creature, I guess that we can include sea creatures as well...

    That's a tough call.
I'm between the King Cobra and those Funnel Web Spiders of Australia, both of which I'll probably never see in the wild.

I couldn't imagine Steve Irwin or Jeff Corwin hiding in a cage!
Now O'Shea is heading to see if you kill a cobra, will other cobras seek and kill you in revenge...

Kind Cobras are cool. I am going to watch this show to see if the gitbag gets bit!

10,000 people in India die from cobra bites each year, will O'Shea be 1 of them!?

I would have to agree with dumzor.. I have a huge article on those lil things in a national geogpahic..

Either that jellyfish or, a centipede whose sting hurts so bad people have been known to try and mask the pain by putting their hands in boiling water.. Ouch..

    Hi Ken

Snakes. You can't see them until it's too late in most cases.

Also they live pretty much everywhere.

I watched a show the other night about an old Real Time Cowboy and he was talking about snakes.

The old cut the bite and suck the Venom out is not a good plan as it will do you in as well if you have any sores or cuts in your mouth or even your hand and it collects it.

Apparently the new cure is to carry a Stun Gun and if hit immediately put the Stun Gun on the Bite and give it a shot.

It will hurt like hell, but it supposedly disperses the Iron in the Venom so that you'll still be sick but it won't kill you.

Also if camping use a Grass Rope as he called it. Hemp i think is what he was talking about and place it in a circle around your Bed Roll or Tent and the snakes will not crawl over it due to it's bristly feel?

There you go safe from snakes

    regards

I don't fear anything but wild dogs...and we have packs of them here in Jersey and they are very dangerous. I've run into them in West Virginia as well....not very nice animals.

the chances of seeing somthing more potent is akin to winning the lottery.

I also don't like unleashed aggressive dogs in the neighborhood.

Two things in how to protect yourself from attacking dogs....first, step on their toes...that will send them packing...also, don't hold your arm horizontal when they lunge for you...hold it vertical in front of their face as they can't get their jaws around your vertically held arm which is over 12 inches......horizontally held it's just like a stick to them. they get frustrated and will back off...

this also works on bears quite well.

    An excellent reason
to avoid the north shore of Australia during box jellfish season. I have been walloped by a man-o-war. I know your pain, Mutch.

I believe the white tailed deer is responsible for more deaths than any other animal in the US.

I fear no animal more than my wife...
