    Question Spray Paint Question

Having some trouble today spraying a couple pieces of plastic. They have become very coarse feeling and looking

I have sprayed about 4 other pieces of the same material with the same paint and prep method. But these just ain't workin' out. Very curved surfaces though on this, more so than others I have done, kinda bowlish in shape.

acetoned, sanded, cleaned. I now have 3 coats of paint and they look like chit! I have done other pieces today so I know it's not the weather. Any ideas?

    Thanks

hmmm, now see thats why you get all the animal you could want. Hadn't even considered that, and I have since gone on to use a different can with other pieces today. Could be.

Every now and then you get one that just wants to piss you off
Could be a number of reasons, Bad lot of paint like MD says, or the humidity got a bit higher or it was to warm or you breathed out when you should have breather in.
Or you didn't get enough paint on for it to flow properly.
Wait for them to dry real good then wet sand them and try to spray again.

The acetone may have reacted with the plastic. Sand it smooth then give it two or three very light dry coats before flowing on the final color.

I would not use anything as strong as acetone on any plastic. A solution of TSP makes a good surface cleaner.
