    here is a really silly & functional power light

    I bought a $4 flasher kit

    it was fun putting it together

    drill the holes for the leds in the 3.5 plate

    hot glue it in place

    it should look pretty cool!

    of course a clean adaptor with heat shrink tube

    all its gonna do is flash when my pc is on.

    and its done!another useless but fun mod, lol,,,all it does is an alternating flash.

    I guess I got bored and got a creative urge.

    I already have a led that flashes upon Hard Drive use.

    thats a good idea! someone at another forum had a good idea too,they suggested hooking it up to my "nic" activity lights.

    hell man,it's just fun and something cool to do.

    Isn't that setup for 9V use? Won't running it at 12V harm those leds?

    no,not after I put 2 470 ohm resistors in the circuit instead.
