    Laptop Problem

I posted awhile ago about a new laptop I bought here's an update with some questions.

I found out the laptop I bought is an IBM Thinkpad 560E. I cannot get hold of windows 95 on disk and so far have no OS installed on it. I have found a CD drive that will work with it under PCMIA but it costs as much as i paid for the whole laptop i.e. not worth it. I have managed to remove the miniture hard drive from the laptop. Is there a cable I can buy that allows me to connect this laptop hard drive to a standard IDE connection on my Asus (see sig)motherboard???

Much appreciation will be given. Thnx

Yes I did this years ago on a 486. My buddy had a IDE cable converter so we were able to hook up a laptop hard drive to my pc

To be honest I really wouldn't know were to get emm, maybe pricewatch would have emm.

I'll poke around and get back to ya on that.

Another solution for you could be a zip drive? get a parallel external zip drive and copy the cabs to the zip disk on your PC and then hook it up to laptop and copy emm to the HD and install the OS.
