After doing about 30mins of painting, this is the result!

I know this isn't a real case mod, but I just wanted to know how to take off the f ront frame of dvd/cd-rw drives. So far I manage to paint the tray's front panel black (use some war hammer paint I have left over some a while ago.). Was going to paint the front pannels metalic to match the case. Here a pic of the front of the case.

Big T if I were you I'd leave that colour combo as is. The black tray with silver looks great. In my opinion it looks great. Good job.

For the whole case, I don't know, but for the CD-Rom drives, I used some "Warhammer" paint, that's non acrylic and water based, incase I made a mistake.Originally posted by cy

woah! looks pretty cool
Thanks Mikey for the link and terran for reply![]()
Nice looking case Terrance! does it help out with your temps yet??
Well, i've seen that case at the computer store myself and it's a pretty big space in there, so I think there should be a temp improve![]()
Cool. Hey Big-T I did the stealth mod on my Lian Li and it works, looks great too. I had to cut some of the metal on the cd rom cover but it looks great.
I went to Crappy Tire and they had a mastercraft rotary tool for 54 bucks. Works great.... the cutting disks break very easily though. Anyways try the stealth mod, you won't be dissapointed.
When I stealth my burner and, somehow, floppy drive, I'll post some pics. By then I'll have purchased a web cam.

Nuke:
I just painted the drives and plus the only two bay slot covers left have words printed on them, I was thinking of sticking with what I just painted, no offence. But nice to hear about the mod on your case! Did you say you got a drill or a dremel tool? Would be cool to get one, was considering modding a case or two
.
Dr.Doug:
Indeed it did! If you didn't already read that long long thread on how I was planning to do it, and that night I stayed up incrediably late doing it, well here are the results.
Previous Temps:
CPU Idle: 54C
Full load: 58-59C
System: 30-32C
Previous Case with Side Panels off:
CPU Idle:49C
Full load: 56C
System:30C
Minion IMT-4000
CPU Idle:43-44C
Full load: 49C(games and divx)
System:26-27C
All temps were taken within the same 12 hour period to reduce the off chance of massive temperature change, Used the same psu, hs/f solution and just about everything, except for the cases. Tells you the difference a good case can make! Still I am worried about the noise, the 7k fan is bearble for me, but it's still loud, so I'm considering getting a Alpha PAL 8045 with a TT 37cfm, 2900rpm 80mm fan on it, I heard that the delta it comes with is incredibly loud. But I'll let you know if things change!
Cy: Indeed this case is a LOT roomier! Infact, this is the first time I can take off the shell/panels of my case and see my cpu fan's heatsink! Not only that, I can feel the cool air being sucked in to the case from the side panels! It's incredible!
