    Printers

    Is there such a thing as an inkjet printer that has SEPARATE ink cartriges for each color? It sucks having to buy a whole new cartridge just because one color runs out.

    ive never seen one made like that, color laser printers have three seperate ones, but their really expensive

    bubble jet has them.. canon's printers are great!
    they're not that expensive..

    yes my cannon BJC-6000 has 3 carts. for color,1 for black, and i can change the color one for a photo cart.

    ive never read anything on it, but the technology is the same for both i think, a different name was probably just a marketing gimmick

    as to Canon...has anyone else noticed that the Canon cartridges seem to dry out really often? (compared to a HP cartridge atleast)

    I think Ink Jet forced ink out through pressure from a small pump like device where bubble jet heats the ink which causes it to expand and bubble hence the pressure needed to force the ink out the jet.

    I do know for a fact there are distinct differences between the two systems.

    Most of the better ones have seperate ink cartridges now. My average Xerox does......yeh i know but it was on special.
