    SQL Server2000

    I'm trying to install SQL Server 2000 Developer edition on my machine and the install alway's fails. It tells me the specified service is not installed. When I check the log files I see this 2 messsages.

    1.)
    Starting Service ...

    SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

    -m -Q -T4022 -T3659

    Connecting to Server ...

    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory]General network error. Check your network documentation.

    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory]ConnectionRead (recv()).

    2.)
    2001-12-02 02:32:51.28 spid3 Warning: override, autoexec procedures skipped.
    2001-12-02 02:32:55.33 server SQL server listening on TCP, Shared Memory, Named Pipes.
    connections
    2001-12-02 02:33:01.37 spid3 SQL Server is terminating due to 'stop' request from Service Control Manager.

    I'm running windows XP Prof. I have 2 network cards installed. Do you think that could be part of the problem? Any help please.

    You may want to remove those IP addresses from your post.
