Arrow What's up with the Radeon 7200?

It's only 60 bucks online and the only difference I see is the ram. Are they're any other differences between the 7200, 7500, and 8500 series? I'm looking for a budget vid card and that looks like a good one just need some opinions. Thx

I belive that the 7200 is a renamed original radeon... or so it seems from ati's website.

    hmmm

Personally, I would go either with the Radeon 64mb DDR or with the 8500DV. Nothing in between, the 7500 is just a tweaked 64mb DDR and doesn't have ViVo.

The 8500 has a whole new bunch of features and revised features found on the Radeon. The Radeon VIVO is nice and a Radeon 7500 is to compete with the GeForce2 Ultra.

    or...

DDR is faster , so therefore i would say that the 32MB DDR has the advantage and is better in speed, do you just like having more ram or faster ram? depends what you're going to use it on

what's the mem bandwidth on that

cause you could have 64bit ddr compared to 128bit sdr like the GF2 MX series are....

the 7500 is NOT the 7200 don't get em confused

    the 7200 is a Radeon 64

the 7500 is a Radeon 64 ULTRA at VERY HIGH SPEEDS with a brand new chip made with the same process as the 8500 on .15 micron to give it a very high clock speed at 290Mhz core speed

Right now, they are hella cheap cards. The 7500 is $135.
