    I just became USMC Retired!

Well, fellow SG'ers, I just got back from my retirement ceremony. I am a "Former Marine" now. Still, "Once a Marine, Always a Marine".
I have mixed emotions of course. It will be strange for a while. My wife says I can have a month off before I look for another job. I have an interview with a local Gateway store that needs some techs.
So begins the next chapter of my life.

How old are you? Just curious to know how old a retired Marine is.

They told (us) to open up the Embassy, or "we'll blow you away." And then they looked up and saw the Marines on the roof with these really big guns, and they said in Somali, "Igaralli ahow," which means "Excuse me, I didn't mean it, my mistake".

Thanks for all the support. I am 40 years old and though I will enjoy a check from Uncle Sam for the rest of my life, it isn't enough to maintain our current standard of living and I am too young to hang the hat up permenantly!
I look forward to the challenges of this time in my life. I got a good woman too! My kids and wife are a little worried about a recall, but I believe we aren't going to see that anytime to soon.
