    Question Win2K

    Need Help

Runing Dual Operating WIN2K & W98 system on my partitioned drive.

I cannot get my CDWriter, HP 9100Series configured with Win2K. It works perfectly with Win98

During Install processing using HP CD, Error occurs saying IDE is not there.

Well, it works fine as a generic reader, however I need the drivers from HP to use it as a writer.

I checked HP and Microsoft Web pages with no luck.

    Any Ideas??

    These drivers?

If not, go in Device Manager, uninstall your cd-writer and reboot. See if Windows will detect the right driver(s) for it...

This is second hand so no guarantee. A friend of mine has the same problem. He advised to "flash" the CD burnerwhile running 98 with update (from HP). After W2k is installed, you should be fine.

Like I said it is a little second hand. Good luck
