    Identify this duck

    I went to the park today and saw this duck. I've never seen this kind of duck before but, he was swimming around with all the other ducks and geese like he was part of the crowd. Cutest duck I have ever seen

    Nope, the duck behind this one is a mallard. I think it is called a wood duck, but again, I don't know as aI have never heard of this kind of duck.

    Thanks! I guess it is called a wood duck. Cute little thing aint it? Further research has informed me that this is a male wood duck.

    looks like a wood duck to me also...they are the most colorful of all the ducks if I'm not mistaken...have to ask my hunting partners....I don't hunt ducks.

    My dad has some of those back home.................actually it is not a wood duck.................it is called a Mandarins Duck or atleast that is what my dad calls it.
    He also has wood Ducks and they look differnt that that pic
