    DSL Reports says:
    Tweaking will not fix
    Packet loss
    Multiplayer games over UDP
    Your ping time
    Regular PC freezes
    Inherited hair loss

You might try our online gameing forum or there is something about gaming here

Unhappy tell me it isn't true!

Tweaking will not help with packet loss and other misc stuff when it comes to online gaming?

    (Did i do this right?)

    Pent. III, 600 mghz, 10gig, 128mb ram, windows 98
Terayon modem with external 3com usb connecter.

I am trying to figure this out, went to Lobo's site and
did step 1 back'd up reg, but unable to print hard copy.
(I admit to being a newbie)

    Advice appreciated...

Why coundn't you print it, plus that link to analyzer gives us our own test results , are you on dsl or cable

Please click in my signature where it says Test your tweak here, then:
At top where it says edit click and select, Select all,
Then go back to same edit button at top, click and select copy.
Come back to Speedguide, same thread you were on, in post reply box, with cursor blinking at begining of box go to top, edit, click, select paste, click, this will put information in box. Please X out your IP address, Thank you.

    Talking I got it!

    Fri Aug 17 21:26:56 2001.

    SpeedGuide.net TCP/IP Analyzer
    TCP properties for IP =
Note: Read the FAQ if the above is not your IP address.
    Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98)

    TCP options string = 020405b401010402

    MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

    MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 8760
    RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
    Unscaled Receive Window = 8760
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
    513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
    256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
    128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
    64240 (MSS x 44)

    bandwidth * delay product:
    Your RcvWindow limits you to: 350.4 kbps (43.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
    Your RcvWindow limits you to: 140.16 kbps (17.52 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
Consider increasing your RWIN value to optimize TCP/IP for broadband.

    MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 117 hops
    TTL value is ok.

    Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

    Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

now that i got that done!

cable connection (and to further confuse me...) i use both a stand alone browser and at times i use the aol service which requires password log on - i just wonder whether that PPOE.... is part of my internet system as well

    thank you.....

    soooo....

what happened to my first question?

is tweaking going to help packet loss and other stuff for internet gaming?

Bottom line problem is I keep getting booted from the tables at my favorite card playing site...I don't get booted from the site, just from the table. It has gotten worse over the last month or so. Flipside.com

I've been going cold turkey now for 4 days because i can't play with all the boots.

(And now u r sending me to printing problem forum, aaaaghhh)

    Help!

I would say yes as your test smells funny, lol

It's not my fault your printer is sick nor is it my fault you can't flip cards, I'm a tweaker, not a card shark
