Good Anti Virus program i got running on my win 98 O/S is called
Avg Anti Virus Personal Edition V 137

if you whant to try it goto www.zdnet.com
in the search bar type in Avg Anti Virus..

Ive had it on my pc now for over 4 months and have had no trouble with it...no conflicts or conection problems reguarding geting updates .

Every time i bring up NetBus or Subseven to ToY round with it ..it picks it up straight away and comes up with 3 options..:Enable accses...Yes>No>Heal.....Heal will take it to the Virus Vault and store it in there until you Decide to Delete it..

    I Recomend it man..

If you do want to try AVG go to Grisoft and you will find 2 options at the page that opens. Use the secondary site and work your way through the pages at the left of screen.
You will come to a page with an AVG TUTOR button. Go through the Tutor. It will help you understand the program.
Wizkid is right. AVG is an ok program and should run on your 2k system. Used it here for a long time and has caught everything I have had visit.

I use NAV2001 on W2KS and have had no problems. I couldn't install the whole utlities suite (it barked at me, unsupported OS) but I went into the NAV folder and ran just that setup executable and all has been well for several months.

    True That Crok...
A.V.G Anti Virus Software would have to be the 2nd widely used i would say , just below the good old InoculateIT Personal Edition Virus Sofware.....

A.V.G Require you to fill out an info sheet , then they will send you an e-mail within 2 minutes ; From the time you Complete the info form...The E-Mail will have a registration Code...make Sure you write that code down and then open up avg setup..(install it).. During setup (instilation) ..it will ask you for your Registration Code...Type it in and then continue on...
Allso when you 1st Run the program...It's a must that you be online so that the program can conect to HoMe and get the Latest Virus Updates --

A.V.G Allso has what is known as the Resident Shield...Whitch is basically *Real Time* Monitoring.
Hears A Tip...When Your fideling around with ^Lets say^ some trojans like netbus or subseven...its a good idea to go to the A.VG Control panel and Disable The Resident Shield...~

You might want to do a search for something similar to this thread because it was discussed a month or two ago. Apparently the person couldnt' get InoculateIT to work under Win2k Server...I can't remember the exact link but if I find it I'll let you know.

I think AVG was what he decided on using. If I wasn't using InoculateIT, I'd go with AVG....but I can't leave from a winner
