Creating a Discusssion Board

Is there any place on the net where I can find a template to make a discussion board like Speedguide's Board. I find the design quite nice. With Frontpage 2000, they have a crapy and boring look to it.

I have a UBB board very similiar to this one..

But you have to have access to CGI and PERL on your server.

I have access to Perl and CGI. One thing is that I'm new to web page design. I don't have any idea how to write in Perl. How can this be made easy.

About.com has a pretty good Perl/PHP area. That's where I'm learning Perl.

there are actually lots... try downloading other bb scripts and study their source... here's two bbs with a nice layout/interface:

both are php based forums...
