    p.s. i have a 1 ghz, machine, with 128 mb ram, 30 gb 7200 spin hard drive, so computer speed should hopefully not be a problem.

    The conventional wisdom claims that USB is slower.

    For Inside Network traffic there is no question that it is slower.

    For Internet surfing, your mileage may vary.

    I may be wrong but I dont think theres a speed difference until you reach the USB ports data limit

    nooooooo diff in speed as long as you dont max all your usb ports with junk :P i used to have a 3com usb adapter and i got about 400 k/s constand from microsoft, same with internal nic
    2.53 ghz p4 512mb ram. Windows XP Pro

    Get a real NIC instead of USB

    Network Cards were designed with this kinda stuff in mind, USB was not
