    Post Help again if you may...Web pages loading

    I have all the patches from Speedguide and I don't want to try cablenuts because I am not that familiar with the registry. Is it possible to get pages to load any faster then they already are with the speedguide patches? Also what reg entires to I have to edit for web page loading and what should those entries be?

    I am on a 512 kilobit network thru Charter Pipeline (yes I know it sucks) and here is my test results

    TCP options string = 020405b40103030201010402

    MTU = 1500
    MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

    MSS = 1460
    Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which is equal to MSS.

    Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 256960
    RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
    Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
    RWIN is a multiple of MSS
    Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
    513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
    128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
    64240 (MSS x 44)

    bandwidth * delay product:
    Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10278.4 kbps (1284.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
    Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4111.36 kbps (513.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

    MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

    Time to live left = 48 hops
    TTL value is ok.

    Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

    Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

    IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

    This is where you want to go and it should look like this:
    Heres where they go in Win9x
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings]
    "MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server"=dword:00000020
    "MaxConnectionsPerServer"=dword:00000020

    I am in my registry right now and I am at the connections folder and all I see is
    DefaultConnectionSettings and
    Saved legacy settings.

    where should I put those entries at? Talk to me like I was 6. I appreciate it.Thanks again

    it could be, or not. You have to find out for yourself. Try 18/18, 20/20, 22/22. BTW, This only works with Internet Explorer.

    So both numbers should be the same right? I mean if I put one as 18 the other should be 18? Should I start at 18 then go up?
