So, I opened a new tab in Chrome that took me to the Google search page and I found out there is a new feature that shows you any open carts you may have at any of their hardcoded sites. It was telling me that I still had 1 item in a cart from Costco (I think it was Costco). I know I'm being followed on the web by Google, but such a blatant... "hey, we're watching where you shop" was a little unsettling.

One can choose to clear out cookies and use "incognito mode", VPN (with all the image captchas), choose "no tracking" options in the browsers, not login and use their services. It is possible to go around all that, just that most people, me included, don't want to be inconvenienced by doing all that.
