never done facebook, instagram, but i do youtube for first admendment audits and motorsports type stuff and tiktok mostly for the dog, animal, and plumber videos.
Disclaimer: I do not have a FB, IG or other social media accounts.
I just don't seem to be hearing people talk about these platforms the way they used to. I realize they're still popular but it seems like they're drifting away from that hip and fun to use vibe into something so ubiquitious that if a new shiney object came along you might just see a huge shift to something "new".
I realize I'm not the target demographic for these platforms but to me they seem to be taking on more of a wallpaper role rather than the furniture in the room.

I don't think it's declining at all, may be branching out to more individual apps for the younger people (like snapchat, instagram, etc)....and for the middle aged and older...Facebook is still the big one.
