    The kitchen remodel begins

I have been making excuses to Mrs. Easto for 3 1/2 years as to why we don't have our new kitchen yet. And no... I'm paying someone else to do the work. I was a little anxious but now that the work has begun I feel really good about it. The only problem was trying to get our hands on some of the appliances. I actually had a pretty good excuse 8 months ago... there was nothing out there they we wanted and could buy. We finally got everything delivered except for the built in microwave but that can always be installed later. Although we have been advised it might be here in a couple of weeks.

Kitchen projects are one of the more fun projects for your home...esp if you're someone who loves to cook, and hosts a lot.

Before pics have already been taken. We expect it to be about another 2 weeks before everything's done. We're not really going hog wild with any one thing since we're not really ones who entertain a lot and we don't have to cook for a loot of people very often at all. But, our 1966 kitchen should at least be updated to current standards and not look as bad as it did.

One thing that is a problem if finding appliances. We had to substitute the cooktop to our 2nd choice since it was impossible to find our first choice anywhere in the US. It took us 7 months to get the oven we wanted delivered. We're still wait8ing on the built in microwave and by the time that arrives it will have been about 9 months since we ordered it.
