The symptoms hit me like a train. I did recover quickly.

I didn't realize there was a "mu" variant. Glad you recovered quickly!
Thank you Philip and Humby.
I can see why this infection is life altering, enervating.

I got my Moderna booster shot on Friday.
I got my second shot of Moderna back in August, thankfully.
I'm just hyper aware that I haven't had so much as a cold in 2 years.
I just keep thinking that the old immune system has forgotten about regular old colds and flu and when I inevitably get sick it'll be a doozy.
Still better than the alternative though.

I just went to CVS and got a booster shot of Pfizer, it's been 7-8 months since the original vaccine. I felt some shoulder discomfort for a day, and muscle ache everywhere for 2 days, a bit under the weather for a day. I guess that's expected, but it was definitely more of a reaction and side effects than the first doses. Glad I got it though.

I just went to CVS to get some prophylactic's, thank god they had XL...otherwise I'd be in debt for the next 18 years!
From what I know, this is basically a sign that the vaccine is doing it's job and the immune system is now activated and producing the necessary antibodies to fight of any potential diseases.
I have co-workers who got Moderna initially and are getting Moderna boosters cause it seems to be the most effective.
And Moderna initially getting Pfizer since mixing it up seems to work.
And those getting whatever they can.
We did the Moderna one.....the hangover from round 2 had my wife and daughter in bed for 2x days...lol. I felt it pretty good but had to power through work.
Have heard from some friends....that the booster shot can give you a hangover multiple times worse than the 2nd short one. Probably do my booster in Jan, prior to going down to FL for a month.

Moderna x 2, more physical pain for a day or so than anything else, raising above the elbow.
Felt fine.
Still mulling over what to go for booster-wise.
I thought the mix-n-match was most beneficial for people that got the Johnson and Johnson vaccine initially, haven't followed it closely but I got the same Pfizer booster.

I got a J&J shot at the VA in July. How long before I am not considered vaccinated? I really don't want any more shots. My Wife cannot get a shot due to severe pharma allergies and issues. Both my Daughters, both my Sisters and their entire families have had COVID with little complications. Wife and I have been lucky to dodge or maybe had it with no symptoms.
If I do get a booster, something about the Moderna & Pfizer rub me wrong.
I believe the recommended wait time before you get a booster of Pfizer or Moderna is 6 months. I'm not sure what it is for the J&J. As far as "not considered vaccinated" I'm not really sure what the current wisdom is.
