    Post Ethernet Port >> HUB >> Infrared Port

    I am having some problems setting a LAN with my cable modem . But I can't seem to connect to my LAPTOP from my HUB i bought from my PC (ethernet port) .

    The LAPTOP has a infrared port, not a ethernet port, is there anyway i can get the NET running on my LAPTOP

    LAPTOP SPECS : IBM Thinkpad
    PC SPECS : 2 ethernet cards, A-Open 5 port HUB with Cable modem .

    I NEED HELP PLZZ ........ if u can help me .. u are a complete genious !!

    The IrDA spec has a range of 9600 bytes/sec all the way up to 4Mb/sec although current additions to the spec allow up to 16Mb/sec transfer speeds. Also keep in mind the effective range of these types of technologies.

    Here is one for $60.00 direct from the manufacturer.
