I use Xfinity and get 300Mbps, they now have 600Mbps. Would upgrade to the higher modem speed, would it increase the speed of page loads in the net?

You wouldn't see much difference in browsing. Web servers would not provide you with more than 300Mbps of bandwidth to retrieve a page in general, they have to be able to serve thousands of requests at the same time. The only places where you'd see a difference between 300 and 600 Mbps is streaming ultra-high definition content, or when you have multiple users on your network downloading torrents/watching UHD videos, etc. For a single user there are very few instance/uses where you can actually reach over 300 Mbps on the internet to a single server.
