NSI is the Network Store Interface service.
Some netsh commands and registry edits can modify keys there, as it directly relates to the network interfaces, not something you'd normally edit on your own though.
I recently saw some tweaks for windows 10 using the following keys and a lot more
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nsi\{eb004a00-9b1a-11d4-9123-0050047759bc}\7]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nsi\{eb004a00-9b1a-11d4-9123-0050047759bc}\6]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nsi\{eb004a03-9b1a-11d4-9123-0050047759bc}\1]
Does anyone know the function of any of them?

Linux is user friendly, it's just picky about its friends...
