    Best electric shaver

Just wonder what electric shaver do you think is the best? To my mind, Braun series are pretty good ones! But they are quite expensive..

"Best" is quite a variable. Guys have different skin..some work better with the foil types (like most Braun units)...others work better with rotary head types.
And of course there is "what's best for my budget?"
We'll see how long this goes hopefully without affiliate advertising links being posted...

Several times in my life I thought I'd give an electric razor a try and at best, have been disappointed. I do have one in the drawer but I can't remember what brand it is. I usually only use it on the occasion where I'm headed out to something important and I forgot to shave. I'll grab it for a quick trim and head out the door.

Thanks guys for supporting, I've finally found the perfect one! You know, I've been searching for lots of blogs and forums and was a bit puzzled of a huge variety of goods! That was unexpectedly difficult to opt the best one...I've compared common e-razors <at some website...affiliate spam link removed> and ordered a Philips after all. I've got a bushy beard so I relied on a years proven product! I haven't shaved for a long period so I didn't know modern razors improved so much..waterproof, quick-charge, fast cutting..wow! Now I need to have the guts and shave my buddy off..Hope, my wife will be satisfied.. She is gonna work off it lol

Hey Philip/YeOlde, can I get a line through my name too? Actually looks kind of neat.

Customer gave me an old Philips S9321 today.

First time I've used an electric razor in at least 12 years.

I'll use a beard trimmer every one or two weeks, but that leaves about a 2-day growth.

If I clean shave I'll use the beard trimmer, then an old-school double blade, occasionally followed up with a 5 blade electric Gillette.

This Philips is impressive. Retailed for about $275, probably more than I would ever pay.

Replacement heads are about $100, another bummer.

But the reviews for the 9000 series are great. Just finished shaving and I'm happy with it.

According to their website it can even be used in the shower. Used to love blade shaving in the shower (quiet Doc) but an electric razor would freak me out.

Me too, just had to let it run its course, heh.

I've used an old Norelco like 20 years ago and wasn't impressed, haven't touched one since.

Yup...unusual topic for a conversation starter for a stranger..unless you're talking about lifting the old twig 'n berries and shaving under there in the shower with MadDoc peeking at ya from behind the curtain!

After using a safety razor, a good brush and soap for years and years, an electric razor feels about as effective as a spoon on my face. I have had a Braun for a long time and the most useful part is the pop-up trimmer for ear and nose hair!
